PINPOINT TEST G : The Speedometer Is Inoperative
- G1 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE PCM KOEO SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the PCM KOEO self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to ENGINE CONTROLS - SYMPTOM CHARTS (EXCEPT DIESEL & HYBRID) . No GO to G2. - G2 CARRY OUT THE SPEEDOMETER ACTIVE COMMAND USING THE SCAN TOOL
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, view the IPC PIDs.
- Select the IPC speedometer (SPDOMETER) PID. Command the speedometer on and off while monitoring the speedometer.
Does the speed begin at 0 km/h (0 mph) move to 225 km/h (140 mph) (all except late build police) or 257 km/h (160 mph) (late build police only) and return to 0 km/h (0 mph)?
Yes GO to G3. No Refer to IPC Hardware Testing . - G3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes For DTC U0100:00, GO to Pinpoint Test AR . For all other DTCs, REFER to DTC Chart: IPC . No INSTALL a new PCM. REFER to Electronic Engine Controls .
