PINPOINT TEST Z : The Grade Assist Message Center Indicator Is Never or Always On
- Z1 CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER WARNING INDICATOR FUNCTION
- Close all doors, hood and liftgate.
- Ignition ON.
- Open the driver door while monitoring the door ajar message center warning indicator.
NOTE: If multiple warnings are present, the message center cycles through each of the warning indicators. Allow the message center to cycle through each display while determining whether the door ajar message center warning indicator is active.Does the driver door ajar message center warning indicator turn off with the driver door closed and illuminate with the driver door open?
Yes GO to Z2. No Refer to IPC Hardware Testing . - Z2 CHECK THE OPERATION OF THE GRADE ASSIST FUNCTION
- Verify the grade assist function operates when engaged and turns off when disengaged.
Does the grade assist function operate correctly?
Yes GO to Z3. No REFER to Automatic Transaxle Transmission External Controls Transmission Control Switch (TCS) to diagnose the TCS. - Z3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U0100:00 recorded?
Yes GO to Pinpoint Test AR . No GO to Z4. - Z4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE PCM KOEO SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the PCM KOEO self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to ENGINE CONTROLS - SYMPTOM CHARTS (EXCEPT DIESEL & HYBRID) . No INSTALL a new PCM. REFER to Electronic Engine Controls .
