PINPOINT TEST AQ : The Parking Brake Warning Chime Is Inoperative
- AQ1 CHECK THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Monitor the safety belt warning chime when the ignition switch is transitioned from OFF to RUN.
Does the safety belt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?
Yes GO to AQ2. No Refer to IPC Hardware Testing . - AQ2 CHECK THE BRAKE WARNING INDICATOR OPERATION
- Apply the parking brake.
- Ignition ON.
- Observe the brake warning indicator.
Does the brake warning indicator illuminate?
Yes GO to AQ3. No GO to Pinpoint Test K . - AQ3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes For DTC U0140:00, GO to Pinpoint Test AV . For all other DTCs, REFER to DTC Chart: IPC . No GO to AQ4. - AQ4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE BCM SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to Multifunction Electronic Modules . No INSTALL a new BCM. REFER to Multifunction Electronic Modules .
