PINPOINT TEST E : The SOD-R Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool Or Cannot Be Configured
- E1 VERIFY THE SOD-R PASSES THE NETWORK TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform a network test.
Does the SOD-R pass the network test?
Yes The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by high network traffic or an intermittent problem. No GO to E2. - E2 CHECK THE SOD-R ADDRESS GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: SOD-R.
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C4370-6 Ground
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
Yes GO to E3. No REPAIR the circuit. - E3 CONFIGURE THE SOD-R
- Using a scan tool, perform the PMI for the SOD-R. Follow the programming procedure as directed by the scan tool. REFER to Module Configuration , PMI.
- Repeat the network test.
Does the SOD-R pass the network test?
Yes The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern was due to incorrect configuration. No Refer to article 'Module Communications Network', Go to Pinpoint Test W .
