PINPOINT TEST M : A Single Power Window is Inoperative - LH Front, Base

M1 CHECK THE LH FRONT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

Measure:

Positive Lead	Measurement / Action	Negative Lead

Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?

Yes	GO to M2.
No	REPAIR the circuit.

M2 CHECK THE LH FRONT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH OPERATION

To check upward window operation, connect fused jumper wires:

To check downward window operation, connect fused jumper wires:

Does the window move up and/or down?

Yes	INSTALL a new LH front window control switch. Refer to Window Control Switch .
No	GO to M3.

M3 CHECK FOR AN OPEN CIRCUIT BETWEEN THE LH WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH AND WINDOW MOTOR

Measure:

Positive Lead	Measurement / Action	Negative Lead

Are the resistances less than 3 ohms?

Yes	INSTALL a new LH front window motor. Refer to Window Regulator Motor - Front Door .
No	REPAIR the affected circuit.
