Manual interior lock/unlock rod is inoperative Bent or binding lock rod
Door latch
OPERATE the door lock rod manually while observing the door lock rod for any binding or if the rod is bent.
If the rod is bent or damaged, REPAIR as necessary
If the rod is OK, INSTALL a new door latch. REFER to Front Door Latch  or Rear Door Latch .
Squeak/rattle/chucking noise from door Door alignment
