PINPOINT TEST M : The Autolock Does Not Operate Correctly
- M1 CHECK THE DOOR AND LIFTGATE AJAR SWITCH INPUT OPERATION
- Open and close the front doors and liftgate while checking the courtesy lamp operation.
Do the courtesy lamps operate correctly?
Yes GO to M2. No DIAGNOSE the courtesy lamps. REFER to Interior Lighting . - M2 CHECK THE BCM IGN_SW_STATE PID
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, view the BCM PIDs.
- Monitor the BCM PID (IGN_SW_STATE).
Does the PID indicate RUN?
Yes GO to M3. No DIAGNOSE the ignition switch. REFER to Steering Column Switches . - M3 CHECK THE VEHICLE SPEED OPERATION
- Check the operation of the speedometer.
Does the speedometer operate correctly?
Yes ENABLE the autolock feature. REFER to Autolock Programming . No DIAGNOSE the speedometer. REFER to Instrumentation, Message Center, and Warning Chimes .
