Pinch Strip Switch: Removal

NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.

  1. 1.

    Remove the liftgate trim panel. REFER to Interior Trim and Ornamentation .

  1. 2.

    Disconnect the pinch strip switch electrical connector.

  1. 3.

    Remove the 3 pin-type retainers and the push pin.

  1. 4.

    Remove the pinch strip switch.
    • Remove the rubber grommet and route the electrical connector out of the liftgate.
