Component Description

Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM) 

The DCSM controls the operation of the climate controlled seat system. The DCSM communicates on the MS-CAN. PMI must be carried out using a scan tool when installing a new DCSM.

Front Display Interface Module (FDIM) 

The FDIM (touchscreen) contains the climate seat control buttons. For additional information, REFER to Information and Entertainment Systems Premium Plus , FDIM (if equipped with Premium Plus) or REFER to Information and Entertainment Systems Sony Sound , FDIM (if equipped with Sony Sound).

Thermo-Electric Device 

The seat cushion and backrest are each equipped with a TED assembly that includes a seat blower (fan motor, serviced as an assembly with the TED). There is also a temperature sensor (thermistor) in each TED which provides feedback to the DCSM. The TEDs are controlled by the DCSM.
