Removal And Installation: Removal
- Disconnect and isolate the negative cable from the battery. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector before disconnecting the negative cable from the battery.NOTE:
It is not necessary to remove the headliner from the vehicle to service the Satellite Digital Audio Radio System (SDARS) antenna.
- Lower the rear of the headliner far enough to access the Satellite Digital Audio Radio System (SDARS) antenna. Refer to HEADLINER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Reach between the headliner and the inner roof panel to access and disconnect the antenna cable wiring connector from the body wire harness connector.
- Remove the bolt (1) and the spring retainer (2) that secure the antenna body (3) to the inner roof panel.
- From outside the vehicle remove the SDARS antenna and cable from the rear of the roof panel.
