Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative cable from the battery. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector before disconnecting the negative cable from the battery.
    NOTE:

    It is not necessary to remove the headliner from the vehicle to service the Satellite Digital Audio Radio System (SDARS) antenna.

  2. Lower the rear of the headliner far enough to access the Satellite Digital Audio Radio System (SDARS) antenna. Refer to HEADLINER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Reach between the headliner and the inner roof panel to access and disconnect the antenna cable wiring connector from the body wire harness connector.

  4. Remove the bolt (1) and the spring retainer (2) that secure the antenna body (3) to the inner roof panel.
  5. From outside the vehicle remove the SDARS antenna and cable from the rear of the roof panel.
