Diagnostic Test

CHECK POWERTRAIN DTCS
1. Verify that the battery is not overcharged with a DVOM.
2. Verify that the battery successfully passes an appropriate load test before proceeding.
3. With the scan tool, read PCM DTCs and record on the repair order.
  Are there any active Battery or Charging system DTCs present?
  
  Yes
  - Repair PCM DTC(s) in accordance with Service Information. Refer to DTC INDEX
  No
  - Go To 2
CHECK THE SECURITY GATEWAY MODULE (SGW)
1. With the scan tool, read Security Gateway Module (SGW) DTCs and record on the repair order.
2. Start the engine and run for two minutes.
3. With the scan tool, read Security Gateway Module (SGW) DTCs.
  Is the DTC active?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the Security Gateway Module (SGW) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, SECURITY GATEWAY (SGW), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
