Diagnosis And Testing - In-Car Temperature Sensor: Notes

NOTE:

For complete circuit diagrams, Refer to Appropriate Wiring Information. The wiring information includes wiring diagrams, details of wire harness routing and retention, connector pin-out information and location views for the various wire harness connectors, splices and grounds. For proper wire repair, and connector repair procedures. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE , REMOVAL and INSTALLATION .

Using a scan tool, check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) related to the in-car temperature sensor in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) module. If any DTCs are found, repair as necessary. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX . If no DTCs are found, perform the two following tests. Replace the in-car temperature sensor if the sensor fails either test.
