Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the rear blend door actuator (1) to the rear HVACR housing. If necessary, rotate the actuator slightly to align the splines on the actuator output shaft with those on the rear blend-air door coupler.
  2. Install the blend door actuator to HVACR housing bolts (3). Tighten the bolts securely.
  3. Connect the blend door actuator wire harness connector (2).

  4. Reset the HVACR housing (3) into place.
  5. Install the HVACR housing to inner quarter panel bolts (2). Tighten the bolts securely.
  6. Install the rear ceiling distribution duct. Refer to DUCT, CEILING DISTRIBUTION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. Install the rear floor distribution duct. Refer to DUCT, FLOOR DISTRIBUTION, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  8. Install the A/C line to body nut (1). Tighten the nut securely.
  9. Install the right rear wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, REAR WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  10. Install the rear HVACR housing.
  11. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  12. Calibrate the A/C heater control. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
