The rear air outlet temperature sensor (2) is located on the headliner duct outlet of the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Rear (HVACR) housing. The sensor is used to maintain comfort settings based on the outlet air temperature.

This sensor signal is sent to the HVACR module and is used (along with other inputs) to adjust blend door positions under varying temperature ranges.
