Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the front strut assembly in the strut tower.
  2. Install the strut-to-strut tower mounting nuts and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Install the cowl panel. Refer to COVER, COWL PANEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  5. Install the front strut assembly to the knuckle.
  6. Install the strut-to-knuckle mounting bolts (1) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  7. Install the stabilizer bar link into the strut, and install the stabilizer bar link mounting nut (3) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  8. Install the brake hose bracket mounting bolt (2) to the strut and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

  9. Install the wheel speed sensor wire harness retainers (3) to the strut.
  10. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  11. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  12. Perform a wheel alignment. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
