Removal And Installation: Removal
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.
- Loosen the spring link to knuckle fastener (1), do not remove.
- Remove the jack from the knuckle and place the jack (3) under the spring link near the adjustable cam fastener (1).NOTE:
Mark the location of the adjustable cam fastener before removing for a starting point when reinstalling.
- Remove the spring link to crossmember adjustable cam fastener (1) by using an appropriate tool (2) to pry slightly downward to relieve pressure on the fastener.
- Carefully lower the jack down and remove the rear spring (1) with the upper isolator (3) and jounce bumper (4) from the vehicle.
- Remove the upper isolator (3) and jounce bumper (4) from the spring (1) if necessary.
- If necessary remove the lower isolator (4) and striker from the spring link.
