Rear Washer Hoses And Tubes: Description

The rear washer plumbing consists of small diameter rubber hoses that are routed along with the front washer plumbing from the washer reservoir (1) located at the right front corner of the engine compartment. Both reservoir hoses are attached to their respective front or rear outlet nipple of the washer pump/motor unit on the front side of and near the bottom of the reservoir. The rear jumper hose is then connected to the nylon body washer hose (3) and routed along the right side of the engine compartment to a rubber grommet in the dash panel.

The rear washer hose passes through the rubber grommet in the dash panel into the passenger compartment. Within the passenger compartment, the rear hose is then routed along the interior of the dash panel below the HVAC housing to the A-pillar, up the A-pillar behind the A-pillar trim to the headliner. It is routed inside the headliner to the rear middle of the headliner where it passes through the rear roof panel and the liftgate spoiler where it attaches to the rear washer nozzle (4) in the rear spoiler.

Rubber (or TPV) washer hose or tube is available for service only as roll stock, which must then be cut to length. The nylon washer hose and molded plastic washer hose fittings cannot be repaired. If nylon washer hose or plastic fittings are ineffective or damaged, they must be replaced.
