Removal And Installation - PACIFICA

REMOVAL

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  3. Remove the front belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Remove the four screws (1) and the nut (2) attaching the wheelhouse splash shields (3) to the front fascia.

  5. Disconnect the front fascia wire harness connectors (1) on the right side.

  6. Disconnect the front fascia wire harness connector (1) on the left side.

  7. Position aside the wheelhouse plash shields and remove the screws (1) attaching the fascia to the fenders.

  8. Remove the push pins (1) and remove the upper fascia closeout panel (2).

  9. Remove the upper grille push pin fasteners (1) and the bolts that secure the grille to the radiator support.

  10. Using trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, release the rear of the fascia support clip (3).
  11. Carefully pull out and release the fascia attachments (2) from the fender attachment and the headlight brackets (1).

  12. Separate the fascia (3) from the headlight tabs (1) by pulling straight ahead gently.

  13. Position the fascia (3) off the vehicle and disconnect any wire harness connectors as necessary. Remove the fascia (3).

  14. Disconnect the adjustable grille shutter wire harness connector (1).

  15. Disconnect the remaining wire harness connectors (1) and remove the wire harness.
  16. Remove the grilles as needed. Refer to GRILLE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or GRILLE, LOWER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  17. Remove the fog lamps as needed. Refer to LAMP, FOG, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

INSTALLATION

  1. Install the fog lamps as needed. Refer to LAMP, FOG, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. Install the grilles as needed. Refer to GRILLE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or GRILLE, LOWER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Install the wire harness and connect all the wire harness connectors (1).

  4. Connect the adjustable grille shutter wire harness connector (1).

  5. Position the fascia (2) onto the vehicle and connect the wire harness connectors as necessary.

  6. Position the fascia (3) up onto the fender (2) and headlight support clips (1).

  7. Seat the support clips (2) onto the fender and headlight attachment clips (1) and seat fully.

  8. Install the upper grille fasteners (1) and the bolts to secure the top of the grille to the radiator support.

  9. Install the upper fascia closeout panel (2) and install the push pin fasteners (1).

  10. Install the screws (1) attaching the fascia to the fenders.

  11. Connect the front fascia wire harness connector (1) on the left side.

  13. Position the wheelhouse splash shield (3) back and install the nut (2) and the screws (1).
  14. Install the front belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  15. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
