Removal And Installation: Installation
- Position isolator on crossmember isolator bore aligning isolator can flange with reference marks applied during removal.
1 - Press, Ball Joint C-4212F 2 - Adapters, Ball Joint Press C-4212-5 3 - Remover, Installer, Ball Joint 10140-3 4 - Installer, Bushing Medium 2026400170 5 - C-Support, Bushing Medium 2026500170-C NOTE:Prior to using special tools, lubricate Press, Ball Joint (special tool #C-4212F, Press, Ball Joint) (1) threads to provide ease of use and promote tool longevity.
NOTE:A mixture of soap and water may be used to aid installation of the isolator.
- Assemble tools over isolator crossmember assembly as shown:
- (special tool #C-4212F, Press, Ball Joint)
- (special tool #C-4212-5, Adapters, Ball Joint Press)
- (special tool #10140, Remover, Installer, Ball Joint)
- (special tool #2026400170, Installer, Bushing Medium)
- (special tool #2026500170-C, Support, Bushing Medium)
- Tighten Press, Ball Joint (special tool #C-4212F, Press, Ball Joint) (A) screw-drive, pressing isolator into crossmember. Install isolator until isolator can flange contacts surface of crossmember.
- Remove the tools.
- Install the rear crossmember. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, REAR SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
