Cylinder Head: Inspection
- Check the cylinder head for warping with a straight edge (2) and feeler gauge (1).
- Cylinder head must be flat within torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Verify that the valve tappets move freely in their bores and that they have been rotating.
- Inspect camshaft bearing journals for scoring.
- Remove carbon and varnish deposits from inside of valve guides with a reliable guide cleaner.
- Inspect the following components and verify that they are within torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

- Valve Guides
