Removal And Installation: Installation
- If removed, install the oil pressure sensor (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install NEW
oil filter housing seals onto the oil filter housing.
- Install the five oil filter housing retaining bolts (1) and tighten finger tight.
- Using the sequence shown in illustration, tighten the oil filter housing bolts to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the heater hose (1) to the oil filter housing.
- Connect the oil pressure sensor wire harness connector (1).
- Install the lower intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- If required, install the oil filter and fill the engine crankcase with the proper oil to the correct level (Refer to ENGINE OIL AND FILTER CHANGE ).
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Operate the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. Check cooling system for correct fluid level.
NOTE:
Always use NEW dry seals when installing the oil filter housing. Lubricate the O-ring seal (1-5) with clean engine oil prior to installation.
