Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the left rear wheel splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, REAR WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor quick connect fitting (1) from the fuel tank filler tube. Refer to FITTING, QUICK CONNECT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  4. Disconnect the fuel vapor line (3) quick connect fitting from the vapor canister. Refer to FITTING, QUICK CONNECT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  5. Disconnect the fuel drain hose (2).

  6. Remove the upper fastener (1) securing the fuel filler tube.

  7. Remove the lower fastener (1) securing the fuel filler tube.

  8. Disconnect the fuel vapor line (1) quick connect fitting. Refer to FITTING, QUICK CONNECT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  9. Loosen the hose clamp (2) and remove the fuel tank fill tube from the vehicle.
