Removal And Installation: Supplemental: Installation
WARNING:
Wear a suitable pair of rubber gloves when removing a battery by hand. Safety glasses should also be worn. If the battery is cracked or leaking, the electrolyte can burn the skin and eyes.
- Install the battery hold down bracket into position and tighten the battery hold down nut to the proper. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the positive battery cable to the supplemental battery and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the negative battery cable to the supplemental battery and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the pre-fuse assembly and tighten the cable nuts to the proper. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the cable connectors to the pre-fuse assembly.
- Install the nuts securing the cables to the pre-fuse assembly and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Close the jump post stud cover.
- Connect the IBS to the negative battery post and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the air inlet duct. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable to the charging battery.
