NOTE:

Be certain that the gasket between the pressure-type side impact sensor and the front door module carrier panel is in good condition and positioned on the back of the sensor. There MUST be a good seal between the sensor and the module carrier panel for the sensor to operate properly. If the gasket is in poor condition, replace the sensor.

  2. Install the fasteners (1) that secure the side impact sensor (2) to the front door module carrier panel (4) and tighten securely.
  3. Connect the front door wire harness connector (3) to the sensor connector receptacle.
  4. Install the trim panel to the inside of the door. Refer to PANEL, DOOR TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Do not connect the negative battery cable at this time. The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Verification Test procedure should be performed following service of any SRS component. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
