Removal - Outer
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Raise the liftgate.
- Remove the outer tail lamp fasteners (2).
- Insert a trim stick or equivalent to gently pry the lamp unit away from the body and rotate the lamp (1) away from the vehicle body to disengage pin from the grommet in the quarter panel opening.
- Disconnect the two wire harness connectors from tail lamp assembly.
