Theory Of Operation

The Electric Power Steering (EPS) Module monitors the battery voltage level at the EPS supply voltage terminal for the following failure conditions:

• System Voltage High

If the EPS supply voltage is above the System Voltage High threshold, the EPS will not supply power to the steering gear motor. A Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is set when one of the diagnostic voltage thresholds is reached for a calibrated amount of time.
