Removal And Installation: Removal
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Place a suitable drain pan under the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) to catch fluid that may spill when the seal is removed.
- Remove right halfshaft. Refer to REMOVAL WITH INTERMEDIATE SHAFT
or REMOVAL WITHOUT INTERMEDIATE SHAFT
.
- Using a suitable screw driver (1), remove the output shaft seal (3) from the PTU housing (2).
