A new design individual Coil-on-Plug (COP) assembly high energy coils with A ground circuit to prevent any unintended discharge which could result in a misfire. Each COP:

• Is used with each spark plug
• Is mounted over the top of the spark plug installed in a cavity of the cylinder head
• Consists of a:
  • Coil assembly
  • Primary electrical connector
  • Secondary conductor
  • Spark plug boot
