Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

Clean the area around the Evaporative System Integrity Monitor (ESIM) switch prior to removal.

The ESIM switch is located on the carbon canister.

Remove the left rear wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, REAR WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

Disconnect the filter hose (1) from the ESIM.
Disconnect the wire harness connector (2) from ESIM.

Push lock tab (1) towards the ESIM and rotate the ESIM 45° to unlock the ESIM from the carbon canister.

Remove the ESIM (1) and seal (2).
