Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. If the horn unit is being replaced with a new unit, install the horn and hood ajar switch wire harness retainer into the new horn unit bracket.

  2. Position the horn and mounting bracket unit (2) and install the fastener (1) for the horn bracket. Tighten the fastener securely.

  3. Engage the horn and hood ajar switch wire harness into the cable retainer (2).
  4. Connect the wire harness connector (4) to the hood ajar switch.
  5. Connect the wire harness connector (3) to the horn.

  6. Position the front end module closeout panel (1) and install the fasteners (2).
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
