Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the shield from over top of the Integrated Control Unit (ICU).

  3. Remove the washer solvent fill tube mounting bolt (2) and remove the fill tube from the vehicle.
  4. Disconnect the Anti-lock Brake Module (ABS) module wire harness connector (1).
  5. Remove the brake line flare nuts (4) and gently move aside the brake lines taking care not to bend them.
  6. Remove the support bracket nuts (3).
  7. Remove the ICU.
