Theory Of Operation
The Dimmer Switch is an adjustment switch that is used to control the brightness of components that receive backlighting, such as the Instrument Cluster (IC), along with other various backlit components. When the Headlamp Switch is turned to the Park Lamp or Headlamp on position, the Headlamp Switch sends a voltage signal, through the Panel Lamps Driver circuit, to Body Control Module (BCM), indicating the status of the interior backlighting.
