Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

It is not necessary to remove the A/C compressor lines or recover the refrigerant from the system.

Position the A/C compressor aside. Refer to A/C COMPRESSOR .
Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to CONVERTER, CATALYTIC, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

Disconnect the generator field (2) and B+ wiring harness (1) connections to the generator.

Remove the two upper generator mounting bolts (1).

Remove the lower generator mounting bolt (1).

Guide the generator from its installed position through the opening between the catalyst converter and the front crossmember bar.
