Theory Of Operation

The purpose of the diagnostic is to:

• Detect if the hydraulic hardware information for the valve body is missing in the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
• Detect if the programmed TCM software does not match the hydraulic identification stored in the Electronically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM) of the TCM.
