NVH Testing With MOPAR Scope

SET-UP

  1. Plug in the MOPAR Scope (special tool #2074503080, Module, Mopar Scope) to the laptop via USB
  2. Follow the Onscreen prompts available on the Pico Diagnostics software (available for download at www.mopar.picoauto.com).
  3. Plug in the Vehicle Interface (special tool #2074504080, Interface, Mopar NVH VCI Mongoose) into the OBD port
  4. Plug in the 3-Channel NVH analyzer (special tool #2074506080, Module, Mopar NVH Interface) into the MOPAR Scope.
  5. Plug in the Accelerometer in to the 3-Channel NVH.
  6. Using the provided magnet, place the Accelerometer as close to the center of the vehicle as possible (typically the driver side inner seat rail.)
  7. Make sure the X-Axis of the Accelerometer is facing towards the front of the vehicle.
  8. The Pico Diagnostic Software will require the Axle differential ratios and tire size be inputted. This information can be found in the technical specification information of Service Library of each respective entry.
  9. Verify the Software is reading vibration correctly and is ready to record

ROAD TEST

  1. Attempt to duplicate the concern. Once the concern has been duplicated, begin recording on the Pico Diagnostic Software and attempt to duplicate once more. Recording can be started and ended by pressing the SPACE bar on the laptop.

The software also has a "Signal Marker" button that can further mark any vibrations felt during the recording and will be saved with the recording.

    NOTE:

The recording time is set to a default of 50 seconds meaning that only the last 50 seconds of recording can be saved. Any recording that happened outside of this window will be lost. The default recording window can be adjusted using the "Advanced Features" option

  2. Once the concern has been captured, the recording can be saved for analysis later.
