Front Sensor: Installation

  1. Position the front impact sensor (2) to the back of the cooling module support (4), below the front lamp unit support member. Be certain that the locating and anti-rotation pin on the back of the sensor is engaged in the clearance hole of the closure panel.
  2. Install the screw (1) that secures the sensor to the cooling module support. Tighten the screw to the proper. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Connect the headlamp and dash wire harness connector (3) to the sensor connector receptacle.
  4. Do not connect the negative battery cable at this time. The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Verification Test procedure should be performed following service of any SRS component. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
