Removal And Installation: Installation
- Clean the gasket mating surfaces.
- Using a NEW
gasket, install the EGR cooler and tighten the inlet flange bolts (1) to the proper specifications. Refer to EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the lower bolts (1) securing the EGR cooler and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the coolant hose (1) onto the EGR cooler.
- Install the nut (2) securing the coolant tube and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the coolant tube assembly to the EGR cooler and thermostat housing (2).
- Install the coolant hose (1) to the EGR cooler.
- Install the fasteners (1) securing the coolant tube assembly.
- Install the inlet tube (1) to the EGR cooler and EGR (2).
- Connect the EGR temperature sensor wire harness connector (1).
- Install the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION , BELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION , BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION , BELLY PAN, REAR SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION and/or BELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable.
