Removal And Installation: Installation
- If removed, install the six fuel injectors to the fuel rail with NEW
O-ring seals. Refer to INJECTOR(S), FUEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Clean out the fuel injector bores in the lower intake manifold.
- Lubricate each fuel injector O-ring with a small amount of engine oil.
- Install the fuel rail onto the lower intake manifold and tighten the fasteners (1) to the proper specifications. Refer to FUEL DELIVERY, GAS, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the fuel supply hose to the fuel rail (1) Refer to FITTING, QUICK CONNECT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Connect the fuel injector wire harness connectors (1).
- Install the insulator (2) onto the two alignment posts (3) on top of the left cylinder head cover.
- Install the upper intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Start the engine and check for leaks.
