Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the Anti-lock Brake Module (ABS) /Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) with support bracket on the ABS/HCU support bracket studs.

  2. Install the support bracket nuts (3) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Position the brake lines in the ABS/HCU tighten the brake line flare nuts (4) to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Connect the ABS module wire harness connector (1).
  5. Install the washer solvent fill tube into the washer solvent reservoir, and install the mounting bolt (2) and tighten the bolt.
  6. Install the shield over top of the Integrated Control Unit (ICU).
  7. If a new ABS control module is being installed, connect a scan tool and calibrate the yaw sensor and the steering angle sensor.
  8. Bleed the brakes. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
