Removal And Installation: Removal

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
Using masking tape or equivalent, apply a strip of tape to the rear fender edge near the door for protection.
Support the door with a suitable lifting device.
Disengage the front door wire harness boot (1) and connector from the outside of the lower A-pillar.
Disconnect the door wire harness connectors (2).

Remove the hinge to door nuts (1) from the door.
NOTE:
Have an assistant to aid in removal/installation.
Remove the door from the hinges by pulling straight out.
