Removal And Installation: Removal

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Remove the front bumper. Refer to REINFORCEMENT, BUMPER, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Remove the headlamp assemblies. Refer to UNIT, FRONT LAMP, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. Refer to PLUMBING, FRONT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Drain the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Remove both the A/C discharge and liquid line nuts (1, 4) from the condenser and remove both A/C lines (2, 3) from the condenser. Discard the O-ring seals and gaskets
Install plugs in or tape over the opened refrigerant line fittings and condenser ports.

Remove the trans lines support bracket (2) bolt (1).
Release the lines from the transmission cooler at the cooler quick connects. Refer to TRANSMISSION, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

Remove the radiator vent hose (1) from the radiator.

Remove the left side lower radiator hose (1).

Remove the right side upper radiator hose (1).

Disconnect the cooling fan wire harness connector (1).

Remove the cooling module assembly (1).

Remove the two lower bolts (1) attaching the crossmember to the front suspension crossmember.

Remove the two upper support bracket bolts (1).

Separate the radiator crossmember (2) from the upper brackets (1), the front frame rails (4), the front suspension crossmember (3) and remove the crossmember.
