Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

Take note of the cable routing for correct installation.

Remove the retaining pins (2) from the front end module closeout panel (1).
Remove the hood latch (7). Refer to LATCH, HOOD, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Unclip the hood latch release cable from the body (4).
Release the cable grommet (3) from the body.
Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

Press the tabs (3) and remove the hood latch release cable from the handle, then remove the cable end (1).
Remove the hood latch release cable from the vehicle.
