Removal And Installation: Removal
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the retaining pins (2) from the front end module closeout panel (1).
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the hood latch (2).
- Remove the hood latch release cable (1) from the hood latch (2).
- Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the position of the hood latch (2) to aid in installation.
- Remove the fasteners (1) and remove the hood latch (2) from the vehicle.
