Removal And Installation: Removal
WARNING:
Disable the airbag system before attempting any component diagnosis or service of the front seats, when equipped with front seat air bags. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.
- Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions. Refer to SEATS, FIRST ROW, WARNING .
- Remove the load floor frame. Refer to LOAD FLOOR, FRAME, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the rear seat bolts (2).
- Move the front seat to the full rearward position.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the bolt covers (4) then the front seat bolts (3).
- Tilt the seat up and disconnect the wire harness connectors then remove the seat.
