Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Open sliding door.
  2. Remove the lower B-pillar trim, Refer to PANEL, B-PILLAR TRIM, LOWER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the position of the hinge assembly on the door to aid installation.
  4. Remove the nuts (1) and separate the hold open latch (3) and cable (2) from the hinge assembly.
  5. Support sliding door on a suitable lifting device with a padded upper surface. The door must be moveable with lifting device in place.

  6. Remove the bolts (1) and separate the hold open latch striker (3) from the mounting plate (2).

  7. Remove the bolt (1) and separate the drive plate (2) from the hinge assembly, if equipped.

  8. Remove the bolts (1) and separate the hinge assembly (2) from the door.
  9. Slide the hinge out the rear of the lower track and remove the hinge assembly.
