The Bluetooth®/Wi-Fi antenna (1) is mounted above the glove box opening, behind the center instrument panel trim panel and is connected to the Radio Receiver Module (RRM) via the instrument panel wiring harness (2). The WiFi in-vehicle access point feature provides internet access in the vehicle, using the radio as the access point. The radio, cellular antenna, and customer device(s) are the major components used for service s he access point. The radio is capable of storing up to 4 different Wifi networks and functions as a wireless bridge (not a router) between the cellular network and the WiFi network in the car. It establishes a private, in-vehicle WiFi internet access point. This access point allows the WiFi to be enabled for in vehicle devices to wirelessly connect to the internet. The cellular network is transparent to the mobile devices. The radio supports the following Wifi security methods:
