DESCRIPTION
Base 6-Speaker System
The base 6-speaker sound system incorporates speakers from Panasonic.
The six-speaker sound system incorporates:
- Two 3.5 inch speakers located in the instrument panel
- Two 6 x 9 inch speakers located in the front doors
- Two 6 x 9 inch speakers located in the rear doors
- One Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) module located behind the glove box
Alpine 13-Speaker System
The 13-speaker amplified Premium I sound system incorporates:
- Three 3.5-inch speakers located in the instrument panel
- Two 6 x 9 inch speakers located one each in the front doors
- Two 3.5-inch speakers located one each in the rear doors
- Two 6 x 9 inch speakers located one each in the rear doors
- Two 3.5-inch speakers located one each in the rear quarter panels
- Two 6 x 9 inch speakers located in the liftgate panel
- An Alpine 12-channel amplifier with ANC software located behind the glove box.
Each of the 3.5 inch speakers in the Harman-Kardon systems are "dual" speakers, in that they each contain a 3.5 inch and 1 inch coaxial combination speaker.
Harman Kardon 18-Speaker System
The 18-speaker amplified Premium II sound system incorporates:
- Three 3.5-inch speakers located in the instrument panel
- Two 6 x 9 inch speakers located one each in the front doors
- Two 3.5-inch speakers located one each in the rear doors
- Two 6 x 9 inch speakers located one each in the rear doors
- Two 3.5-inch speakers located one each in the rear quarter panels
- One 10-inch subwoofer behind the left quarter panel
- A Harman Kardon 12-channel amplifier with ANC software located behind the glove box.
Harman Kardon 20-Speaker System
The 20-speaker amplified Premium III sound system incorporates:
- Three 3.5-inch speakers located in the instrument panel
- Two 6 x 9 inch speakers located one each in the front doors
- Two 3.5-inch speakers located one each in the rear doors
- Two 6 x 9 inch speakers located one each in the rear doors
- Two 3.5-inch speakers located one each in the rear quarter panels
- Two 6 x 9 inch speakers located in the liftgate panel
- A Harman Kardon 12-channel amplifier with ANC software located behind the glove box.
The speakers cannot be adjusted or repaired. If ineffective or damaged they must be replaced.
OPERATION
Two wires connected to each speaker, one feed circuit (+) and one return circuit (-), allow the audio output signal electrical current from the amplifier section of the Radio Receiver Module (RRM) to flow through each speaker voice coil.
The hardwired circuits between the RRM and the speakers may be diagnosed using conventional diagnostic tools and procedures. Refer to the appropriate wiring information. The wiring information includes wiring diagrams, details of wire harness routing and retention, connector pin-out information and location views for the various wire harness connectors, splices and grounds.
