Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the appropriate side power sliding door sill cladding. Refer to CLADDING, BODY, SILL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Disconnect the wiring harness connection (1) Power Sliding Door Hands Free Entry (PSDHFE) connector.

  4. Remove the screws (1) securing the HFEPSD sensor and module to the vehicle.

  5. Disconnect the wiring harness connections (3) from the HFEPSD module (2).
  6. Remove the fasteners (1, 4) securing the HFEPSD module to the sensor assembly.
  7. Remove the HFEPSD module from the sensor assembly.
