Removal And Installation: Installation

NOTE:

Replacement of the O-ring seal is required anytime an A/C pressure transducer is removed. Failure to replace the rubber O-ring seal may result in a refrigerant system leak.

  1. Lubricate a NEW  rubber O-ring seal with clean refrigerant oil and install it on the fitting.
    NOTE:

    Use only the specified O-ring seal as it is made of special material for the refrigerant used in the system. Use only refrigerant oil of the type required for the A/C compressor.

  2. Install the A/C pressure transducer (2) to the A/C discharge line and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Connect the wire harness connector (1) to the A/C pressure transducer.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
