Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the resonator. Refer to RESONATOR, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  4. Disconnect the vacuum line (3) from the vacuum pump.
  5. Remove the vacuum pump fasteners (1).
  6. Disconnect the vacuum pump wire harness connector (2), then release the pump wiring from the retaining clip.
  7. Remove the vacuum pump.
